I, Yagmur Damla , am currently working as a native English teacher at Arel College. I used to be the Branch Trainer at Expeditors International; (Expeditors International of Washington) is a global logistics and freight forwarding company headquartered in Seattle, Washington.
I have five years of teaching experience including the official CLR teaching hours and tutoring. I earned my B.A. degree from the department of English Language Teaching at Istanbul University in 2016. Having been granted a Fulbright scholarship, I taught Turkish at the University of Washington in the academic year 2017- 2018. I am now pursuing an additional distant-learning B.A. in International Relations at the Anatolia University. My interests include intercultural communication, international development, incorporating technology in EFL classroom, material design, translation, critical pedagogy and professional teacher identity development, translation and human relations.
I may also mention my 1st place achievement from the University of Nottingham's worldwide competition called "Integrating Digital Technologies into Language Classes".
I have also studied high school at the Pakistan International School of Damascus within the Cambridge Education System, taking the IGCSE examinations.
My greatest competence would be my intercultural skills as an individual with a strong international background.
